SUPs
With origins coming from surfboarding, Stand-up Paddle boarding is a great core exercise. Within 1 hour, most people become comfortable on their SUP, as it's very easy to learn and very beginner friendly.
As a member of Quinte Paddling Club, you have access to any of our (currently 8) SUPs. Our Basic Paddle Membership allows you the use an SUP 1x/week for 1 hour, with our Monday night Personal Watercraft group. |
OC6 - Outrigger Canoe
This program is for enthusiastic paddlers who want to try something fun and challenging that will take you out into the waves! Born in the South Pacific, these boats with 6 paddlers and an outrigger called an Ama, will provide you with the thrill of a lifetime. Currently our program is focused on developing recreational paddlers, with a goal to join some very exciting competitions on Lake Ontario and beyond in the future. |
DRAGON BOAT TEAMS

RECREATIONAL - QUINTE TOP GUNNELS
Our recreational program is designed for those new to the sport of Dragon Boat or for individuals wishing to get out and enjoy the sport in a less competitive environment.
Once a week our paddlers are on the water sharing in a fun team building practice from May to October. The crew also offers its members the opportunity to compete in 2-3 local Community dragon boat Festivals during the season.
Cost is $225 per season which includes coaching, the use of paddles and life vests, as well as access to our fleet of Personal Watercraft (SUP / Kayak / OC1)

For those wishing to challenge themselves and their team-mates with some competition, this is the program for you. These athletes have a desire to excel in their performance, are dedicated to a healthy lifestyle and thrive on hard work and competition.
Racing under the Great Lake Paddlers name, our program is recognized as world class throughout the Dragon Boat community and has been one of Canada's best over the past decade. We train for and compete in festivals across the province throughout the season, including the Canadian National Championships.
International competitions such as the Club Crew World Championships may also be entered.
Cost is approximately $425 per season for 2 weekly sessions on the water, lead by our world class coach.
(Canadian and World Championships are extra).
Winter training is available at an additional cost.
